Great price, but very dated and a few things like the doors need to be replaced. The key entry to the pool and rooms is outdated and problematic for easy access.

Good central location
Very convenient and quiet considering it is a major public venue. Parking was a bit of an issue but worked around it. Friendly reception and bar staff. Would definitely recommend it and stay again.

We had read reviews saying that this hotel was noisy because it's also a pub, but since we were arriving from the airport after midnight we thought it would be ok for just one night. The noise from people at the pub didn't stop until after 3am and earplugs didn't do much. The facilities were fine and staff were very friendly but I wouldn't stay there again because of the noise.

The cavenagh is exactly what you pay for. Rooms are small, loud, bright and not clean. It is cheap, central and convenient though.

The staff were great to deal with and very helpful and friendly ❤️. The place is and looks very tiered and in need of renovation all over…also in our room the shower knob kept coming off, the shower curtain is not very effective, let’s out a lot of water, very little storage space…fortunately we were only there for 2 days, so living out of our suitcases wasn’t too bad, but not desirable. Not having a lift is bad. Far too noisy. Food at the Cav pub was great.

Cheap, quiet room before red-eye flight out of Darwin. No lifts so expect to cart luggage up stairs and some rooms as mentioned on booking have no windows. Was perfect to grab a shower, have a rest and pack bags for a flight. You get what you pay for!

Noisy up in NT
My room was above a bar. Band didn't finish till 10pm and then could here noise from patrons then bar staff cleaning up. Bathroom was very dated. Everything was clean and tidy but i wont be back. Not for people travelling for business but more for people wanting a few drinks and want something cheap. Pool looked good but didnt have time to use. If booking get a room away from bar

Good location in the city, friendly staff. Rooms were clean, basic, tired but ok. Ok value. Nice cosy pool area, great pool. Noise be prepared for noise and lots of it from the bar area until around 11PM. I got a note at time of booking but it was louder than I expected each night. At the time I stayed end July 24 there was demolition taking place directly behind the hotel so expect excavator work noise from 07:00. Cafe across the road for breakfast. Great steak but book your spot early.
