The building was old & in keeping with the ambience of the village. The room was quaint, clean & spacious. Dinner in the downstairs pub was delicious as was the full English breakfast. Would love to stay again & highly recommend it.

This was really good value for money. The staff were great, the food was great - breakfast wonderful! The room was spotless but a little tired. I travel a lot for work and always try to stay in local businesses not chains, this was a great local pub with rooms. Would definitely return

We found the staff friendly and accommodating.
The food was delicious both a Sunday lunch and the included breakfast.
The room was idea with separate access for a late return from a concert.
The room was spacious and also the en suite.
A lovely old property with plenty of character.
Many thanks to the Royal Oak . . . We would stay there again.

Needs to be refurbished, bathroom was terrible
Hi, the rooms need to be refurbished, in particular the shower. Very week water pressure, it reminded me of bnbs from 20 years ago, the difference is these use to be £20 so you could understand. Prices are now 4-5 times the price so the least you should get is a good shower.
