The Knaresborough Inn - The Inn Collection Group
"The Inn is a very nice place to , will be back there next year."
The Yorkshire
"Our stay at the Yorkshire hotel was very nice! Our room was spotless . We booked a deluxe King room with walk in shower. Plenty of good quality towels and handwash in dispenser at sink and shower gel dispenser fixed on wall in shower. The White Company, it says but I can’t confirm it but it smelt beautiful! Towels and bath mat but no facecloth! There was a lack of shampoo & conditioner and body lotion. Most hotels supply this but just letting guests know so they can bring their own if needed. I actually used shower gel which worked fine. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Kettle with tea coffee and Borders prepackaged biscuits, milk and sugar. Cups & saucers. Huge Bed with classic white bedding. Bedside table as part of headboard with sockets and lighting both sides. 4 full pillows and decorative cushions. Dressing table again with sockets and large mirror and drawers. Area on this surface with kettle and tea & Coffee etc mentioned above. Good quality curtains at windows that overlooked the rooftops. Interesting view. Floor 2 room 200. Quirky shaped room. Functional (Good) Freestanding traditional double wardrobe with hanging space with plenty of wooden coat hangers. Long bench style seating with opening top. Cushioned with velvet. Suitcase rest. Step up to door into the on suite bathroom. Very big square room with toilet, sink, chrome towel rail with good quality extra large bath towels hand towels and bathmat. Rubber non slip shower mat also! Good mirror above sink."
Hampton by Hilton York Piccadilly
"Hotel is very accessible to most of the tourist spots and we were delighted allowing us to check in early without extra charges."
The Milner York
"dirty stair carpet at the entrance gives a poor introduction. Our basement room was ok for one night. Dinner in the restaurant was good but the attitude of some staff was unfortunate and some were scruffy. Very interesting architecture and history."
Radisson Hotel York
"Great location, clean, comfortable and very friendly and helpful staff."
Delta Hotels by Marriott York
"Great place to stay not very far from York town centre clean rooms and staff very friendly and pool area was good to use."

Village Hotel Leeds South
"Room are clean and its a super quiet hotel. Even it quite busy with families parties and work contractors we couldn't hear the other guests at all. Loved the leaiure facilities and swimming and steamed room was much needed after 4 hours travelling. We ate in the restaurant since im a gym member from another branch and made use of 50% off my whole bill the pizza was delicious. Location is 10 mins from the city and used the park and ride near by which was handy really glad we did as leeds city looked a bit chaotic and bus lanes everywhere! ! Will stay again!"

For those in search of distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. - Consider your location: Choosing accommodation near key attractions or city centres can offer convenience, but it often comes with increased costs. For more affordable options, you may want to consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sights you intend to visit. Independent hotels located a bit further out could also provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience, as they usually tend to be cheaper.
