This was our first time staying at the Pullman Dubai Downtown. I wish I could give it a full 5 stars, but unfortunately, the experience we had fell short in one major aspect.
We upgraded to a Burj Khalifa view room, which was a lovely addition. However, on the second night, we experienced a blackout in our room. The engineer who responded simply reset the switchboard and said it was nothing to worry about. The same issue occurred on the third night, and after waiting too long for staff to assist, I reset the switchboard myself.
When the engineer finally arrived, he didn’t believe me when I explained that the power kept tripping whenever I took a shower. By this point, it was frustrating, and all I wanted was a proper solution.
On the forth night, the power cut out again while I was in the shower, so I recorded the moment to provide proof. Only then did the staff finally move us to another room. While I appreciated the move, it took three nights of dealing with the same issue to reach this resolution.
Overall, the hotel has great potential, but the slow response and lack of urgency from staff made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.
