Villa 33 Kashikojima

10/10 Excellent
"I had an amazing stay here and truly can’t thank the staff enough for how kind and helpful they were during my trip to Shima. The hotel itself was beautiful, very comfortable, and had such a relaxing atmosphere. The onsen was also wonderful — very clean, peaceful, and private, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Saito and the rest of the staff went completely above and beyond for me. They even drove me where I needed to go the next day when they absolutely did not have to, which I was incredibly grateful for. When I returned looking for my lost AirPod, they didn’t just point me in a direction — they actively helped me search my room and even looked throughout the hotel with me. That level of care and hospitality is something you don’t forget. Everyone here was so welcoming and genuine, and they made my stay feel special from beginning to end. If I ever come back to Shima, I will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Shima

  1. A stay of at least 1 to 2 days is ideal for exploring the key landmarks, history and cultural attractions, such as the aquarium, theme park, seafood experiences, marina, small town charm, swimming, adventure, sea, natural parks and hot springs, offering great value for money.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore last-minute deals to Shima on Hotels.com, begin by checking the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. The Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see the best options available. You’ll be promptly informed if rooms become available or prices drop, making your last-minute getaway easier to book.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay at a hotel in Shima. If you're interested in distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value for money. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer more cost-effective options.
  4. Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres can offer convenience, but it often comes with higher expenses. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the places you wish to visit. You could also look into independent hotels a bit further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
