Our stay has been pleasant. The staffs' English proficiency is quite well, at least we are able to communicate well. The environment is very good, quiet and clean. It's located in an area nearing a lot of famous restaurants and shops. The room is also quite big for such a price. I would love to stay here again if I visit Kyoto next time.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Kyoto
Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Kyoto on a budget is particularly appealing in January, February, and September, when hotel prices may drop to lower prices, making it a great value for money. For an enriching cultural exploration, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal, allowing you ample time to visit significant landmarks such as temples, monuments, gardens, and castles, as well as to take part in historical tours and engage in insightful sightseeing. This affordable approach ensures that travellers can enjoy the city's rich heritage and natural beauty without breaking the bank.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover attractive hotel deals in Kyoto by exploring the Dealsopens in new window section on Hotels.com. For those planning a spontaneous trip, the Last-Minute Deals section could offer discounted rates on hotels near your travel date. Additionally, you’re more likely to see price drops by enabling alerts, while using the Smart Shopping tool – a comparison feature within the app that helps travellers assess hotel prices and amenities – to find the best option for your needs.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Kyoto hotel. For those interested in distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average; if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates that could help you find a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, thanks to Kyoto's excellent public transport links, you may find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
