Holiday Inn Manchester-Media City UK by IHG
"We were greeted and had the parking explained to us. We went to the multi story. Firstly I think when you pay £100+ for one night at this hotel they should allow you to park free if charge. The hotel do give a discount so parking was £11 for the 24 hours. Our room was lovely and spacious with a massive full length window showing an extensive view and making the room look bright and airy. Everything about out stay was lovely until we went for BREAKFAST…. This was appalling and the worst we have experienced in a hotel. Staff were miserable and unhelpful. An older lady was snapping and barking orders at the younger girls and they looked very uncomfortable. They didn’t smile or feel welcoming. I could not find any sweetners for my tea and when we asked we were the might not have any but they would look… One staff member told me I had to use the sugar cubes from the jar on the table which looked grotty but were obviously for coffee as most were brown. Also I asked for sweetners not sugar!!! The whole experience sat there was awful- the breakfast was not replenished so no eggs left and no pastries and we were there at half eight. I would not come to this hotel again for this reason. The breakfast is £20 so it’s better to go out and find somewhere who do it properly."
The Black Lion Manchester
"We really enjoyed our stay at The Black Lion, the room was really nice, comfortable bed and very quiet. The location was ideal for shopping in central Manchester and the Opera House."

Maldron Hotel Manchester Central – Cathedral Quarter
"The room was modern clean and had all the facilities you need. The bed was very comfortable. Overall a great place to stay in the City Centre with the Q Park Deansgate adjacent"
CitySuites 2 Aparthotel
"Hotel couldn't be better located for central Manchester. It was a 20 min walk from the station but plenty of options for cab, bus or tram there. We were able to check in early and the apartment was well appointed and spacious. Absolutely loved the fact the towels were decent sizes and there was plenty of crockery/glassware in the kitchen. Bed was comfortable with lots of hanging space and spare pillows/blanket. Staff were friendly and we were checked in promptly. Nespresso machine in the room and although we has breakfast included, we didn't end up utilising - great that there is both a cafe and restaurant downstairs though. Only negative was the carpet felt grubby and very tired looking. Didn't feel or look particularly clean in the bedrooms."
The Ainscow Hotel
"Room was clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful"

For a thorough exploration of the city's significant landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This budget-friendly timeframe allows visitors to enjoy the rich history, vibrant museums, and engaging sports culture that Salford has to offer, all while making the most of their trip on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Salford, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you're more likely to see discounted hotel options as your travel date approaches. To stay updated on potential savings, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for flash sales and special offers. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. This way, you'll be notified if rooms become available or prices drop, maximising your chances for a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Salford hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels may offer a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest alternative dates that could offer a more attractive rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Salford's excellent public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further afield that remains well-connected. For those eager to venture into alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even explore lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money available. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
