The hotel is a bit tired compared to the old days but still a better hotel for Manchester. It lacks a notable level of 5* service, all being very reception driven. The price certainly doesn’t reflect the hotel, it’s living on it reputation.
I asked for a bacon sandwich int he morning, but the waitress was forced to tell me that “the chef says make it yourself from the buffet”. The bacon on the buffet was old and looked boiled and grey. The options at breakfast are vast but the hot buffet is very poor quality.
I’d recommend exploring other options.

Lovely spacious and modern room, the bed was really comfy and huge.
