Try it once

We arrived in time for the crab hunting which was fun but the dinner was just average. The prices at the bar were less than $5. The hotel is dated but comfortable.

The Worst Hotel in Whole UAE

The Worst Hotel I have ever Seen, Poor Staff, Poor breakfast, Now Hot water in the bathroom, I will never Recommended this Hotel for Friends at all, The Hotel Location do not deserve this kind of management really

Flamingo beach resort - nice gateway from Dubai

Overall Ok experience.Looking at the remote location,we cant expect much.Room service needs to be improved.Gentleman at reception was adamant in asking for Id of my wife,although it was clear that we checked in as family with my son.Surprisingly he did not do this to another couple who checked-in at same time like us.This was my second visit to the beach resort.

Ruhige Lage an der Spitze der Halbinsel

Das Flamingo Beach Resort liegt im "alten Teil" von Umm Al Quwain. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass es sehr ruhig gelegen ist, kleine Läden und Restaurant in der Umgebung vorhanden sind, aber den Nachteil, dass man, wenn man von/zur E11fährt gut 20 Minuten einplanen muss. Die Anlage bietet einen schönen Pool und einen eigenen Strand. Die Zimmer bieten keinen Luxus, sind aber ausreichend ausgestattet. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist einfach, aber ausreichend. Wer ein günstiges und einfaches "Beach Resort" im Norden der VAE sucht, ist hier richtig. BESONDERHEIT - Das Emirat Umm Al Quwain hat die lockersten Alkoholvorschriften der VAE. Wer will kann im Flamingo, ohne dass er eine Alkohollizenz besitzt, "take-away-Alkohol" kaufen.

Falmingo -

Very nice hotel but could do with some maintenance. Surrounding area odd - docks, fishing boat landing, housing for low income people and large undeveloped areas.

cheap and cheerful

The hotel has a nice small beach. Gardens. Rooms are large with 2 queen beds. Swimming Pool. It is 2 star with 2 star prices so dont expect luxury and you will be ok. Buffet food lacked imagination - best eat off a la carte or somewhere else. Plenty of boat trips that were good value.

Strangely Appealing

This place definitely isn't for everyone, but for the price, it was perfectly OK for my daughter and myself. The grounds had a funky appeal, with pools, some kitsch sculptures of flamingos, a beach and gardens. Yeah, the room could have used some work, but it was clean and everything functioned. The surrounding neighborhood was a bit grimy, but the hotel itself was easy to find. The staff was perfectly nice.

One of my favourites places to chill out

Umm Al Qwain is a gem of a place, away from the big city, something a little like a Thai beach resort. The water always seems cooler and the views are unbeatable in the UAE. Only downside is there are sometimes some lively groups there at weekends so if you can go during the week if you want peace and quiet.
