Good value, proper British hotel that's been going for a few years (or 100's years) so parts of it are perhaps a little fashionably distressed - genuinely, not by artifice! Staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. Parking and breakfast included so great value.

The property is in needed of a refurb, but this was reflected in the price. We stayed 3-nights. Everything worked well for us. The bed was very comfortable and the meals we had in the dining room were good. Pity about the awful weather and congestion on the roads due to M25 works…….but beautiful countryside and tourist spots around!

Being on the high street made road noise and passing public rather disturbing, until late night , but it was manageable and did not detract from the overall stay.
