This property was in the perfect location for us. Walking distance to Old Quebec City, Plains of Abraham and Le Musée de Beaux Arts de Quebec. Easy to get around to places we wanted to visit. The hotel is unique and fun—from the Halloween decorations in front to the beautifully fully renovated room. The amenities in the room are top notch. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing especially the French toast! Highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Quebec City

Beautiful hotel but the Key app did not work. Luckily we found a server who gave us a key fob. Would visit again!

We enjoyed our room very much. It was very comfortable and decorated beautifully. We arrived with mom who uses a walker and two young men who worked there were helpful and attentive helping her with her luggage. However, after checking in there was no one at the desk to answer any questions and when we tried to call the English speaking help line no one would answer.

Love Quebec City
It was a little confusing when we arrived not knowing where to park to unload our luggage. Nick at the restaurant was really helpful on where to park to unload and where to park for the 2 day stay. It was a beautiful hotel in a nice area of the city. A nice walk to the wall made it easy to experience the old Quebec. The restaurant had excellent food and the staff were really nice. I would have no qualms in returning for another stay or recommending it to friends.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were in town to indulge our senses with delicious food, sightseeing and just being immersed in it’s rich history. Hotel Maurice was the perfect hotel for us. One thing that surprised me was no parking, but after figuring out that parking is just a few minutes away - everything was ok. The hotel is so perfectly situated that we didn’t ever need our car. The decor and furnishings of the room were beautiful and posh. The breakfast that was included with our stay was delicious. It’s an old building with its quirks and charm and we were absolutely delighted with our stay.

8/10 Very good

It's brand new and squeaky clean. An intense 70s vibe is present in the deco (of the room I got at least). Some weird lighting mishap, like lights getting full on in the middle of the night... but overall it is out of the ordinary and well located.

Room was very nice, quiet and clean. Staff was helpful. Location is excellent, walking distance to all interesting places to visit and close to restaurants. Public parking is a few blocks walk but it’s safe. The hotel’s entrance is their restaurant so it can be quite confusing, so as their special instructions here on Expedia. It says I will receive an email 48 hours prior to check in so I can register online and receive instructions about checking in but I didn’t receive such email which made me very concerned. It also mentions virtual assistance is available at the hotel which can be misunderstood as there’s no actual reception there when you check in. Although late, they did respond to my message thankfully and everything worked out well. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel right on in the middle of a lot. The hotel room was really nice and the shower was great. we were in room 301 and it had a balcony which was one of my favorite parts. I love people watching. great food in the area too. only thing is this is a very modern hotel. there is no reception or concierge there. you download an app to access your room. it is your room key and if you need something you have to text them. this is definitely a hotel for young people but other than that I highly recommend this hotel.

8/10 Very good

Overall good, but not excellent. First challenge is finding the front entrance - it is not obvious. You can either walk through their restaurant (I’m talking walking through the tables, not just the lobby to an elevator beside the kitchen. Restaurant looked stunning with pretty patio but smelled fishy most days) or there was this narrow metal staircase on the side of the building (no elevator) that goes to a veranda/patio space but then the patio doors were locked? Confusing. I’m still not sure I knew how to best access that place. We were in a nice room facing the main Street, there’s lots of nice dining options and it’s walkable to old town (15-20 min walk). Room was new and stylish but could’ve been a bit more clean (better vacuuming and not other people’s hair in shower/on towels). Also there was no bathroom hooks or bars - nowhere to hang your wet towels or which isn’t very sustainable for reuse as they’d end up on the floor or still wet somewhere. Overall good, could be improved with a couple small tweaks!
Megan, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Positive Aspects: My stay was quite pleasant. The room was beautifully decorated, and the facilities were new. The color scheme matched the photos perfectly. Although there was a slight smell from the new furniture, it was understandable. The soundproofing was exceptional, as I could hardly hear any noise from the bar downstairs. The electronic door key was very user-friendly for young people. Negative Aspects: I booked through Expedia, as I needed parking. The advertised valet parking was a key reason for choosing this hotel. However, the roads were closed due to a music festival, which was not mentioned in the welcome message, leading to parking difficulties. Eventually, I found the hotel above a bar with no dedicated front desk. The valet service was not available, and I was misdirected to another hotel’s parking, which I couldn’t access. Summary: For young travelers without a car, I recommend this hotel. However, drivers should confirm valet parking in advance. Assistance in case of issues is lacking.

Wait and see when they’re ready to go… Newly refurbished, but not quite there. The room was great - quiet and well appointed. The new lighting control on one nightstand was functional, but it’s install wasn’t complete. One light seemed to be sound controlled and turned on on its own early every morning. We also had a problem with the e-check in and bluetooth key system, but that was quickly solved with a phone call and a hard fob. Our room had direct access to a shared balcony. The space was great for a nightcap and nightlife watching. It is, though, unclear who else will have access to this space. This may be an issue further down the road, if other patrons are loud at night outside this room. Bathroom and shower were great with good temperature and water pressure. A/C was set at a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. Access is through the restaurant, and I am not sure how one would gain access after hours. Also, the hotel and restaurant are under different management. The restaurant also cultivates an “exclusive” feel, so more than once our tired tourist selves got disapproving looks from the hostess stand. The location is very walkable, with easy access to the Plains of Abraham park. It is a restaurant and entertainment strip, and a longer walk to the old town. A cash-only bodega is nearby for quick needs, but a supermarket is a much further walk. Fantastic BBQ place just a few doors down. Caveats in mind, would certainly stay here again.
