Perhaps one of the best decisions my wife and I made on our trip was staying at Palazzo Alexander. A family owned and operated hotel whose staff was friendly, accommodating, helpful, and kind. We wish we had booked a longer stay, and it is located in a very charming part of the old town of Lucca, very walkable to many restaurants, shopping, and attractions. Will for sure stay here again.

Great stay during the Lucca summer festival. My friend and I loved our "family room" - two connecting rooms, both with its own bathroom. The staff were very nice.

The Palazzo Alexander absolutely sweetened our stay in Lucca. The hotel is quite centrally located, not very big, but very cozy and royally furnished. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was also delicious and parts of it were served fresh at the table. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I had concerns about parking in Lucca and when I phoned the day before arrival they made sure that I could park my car safely and close to the hotel, which, to be fair, cost 25 euros a night, but it was worth it to have a safe and monitored parking space for my car. An extra mention goes to Roberto, who served us so incredibly kindly at the bar and at breakfast and gave us such a nice goodbye. We will gladly come back another time.
