Not a bad stay pillows hard bed not to bad but overall the venue is getting a little bit shabby in all areas. The was a leaky tap in the bathroom It is in need of a make over.

Fine for short stay. Excellent breakfast.
We got a triple room that was clean and was quiet. The mattresses are maybe due for renewal, springs were a bit noisy and mattress was thin, But still managed to sleep so no major dramas. The full English breakfast was absolutely stunning. Worth noting that the bar is not available out of hours.

The Bear is in a good position in the centre of Wantage. Restaurant is great for dinner.

We had a two night stay. The hotel could do with some revamping, as some areas were looking a bit tired. The staff were really pleasant and helpful, and seemed to like working there. A great breakfast menu with food cooked to order, which was excellent. Dinner very good and served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Our room was basic but comfortable and clean.
