We loved our stay at the Tarabino Inn. Everything was comfortable, quiet, accommodating, and the inn itself is beautiful. Its location was great for exploring town as well.

The Victorian decor was beautiful! The room was super spacious with a nice sitting room & separate, but private, bath. Lots of grab & go breakfast options. We’ll be back!

Our charming host was most accommodating. Our suite was very clean and appointed in teh style of the guest house early 1900th century decor.

Beautiful historic home just steps away from downtown. Very well restored. Joy greeted us with a smile and was very helpful. Located up on a hill plus we were on the second floor, the views were incredible. Would definitely stay here again. On a side note, this home is for sale and they no longer provide breakfast. The Las Animas Grill has excellent breakfast.

I should have looked at the advertisement more closely. First, there were a large amount of steps just to get to the lobby (thought there might be parking in back rather than just on the street). I missed the part about a detached bathroom - saw private bathroom and did not look further. Our bedroom door opened right to the main lobby. I saw free breakfast which attracted me, but after I made a nonrefundable reservation, I received an email stating that "breakfast" was packaged sweets - not a hot breakfast I have come to expect at a distinctive place like Tarabino Inn. So although the bedroom was comfortable and the staff person was very helpful and friendly, I would not stay here again.

Great Place to Stay in a Great Town
Fantastic alternative to cookie cutter hotels. Great a small glimpse behind the curtains of how the wealthy lived over 100 years ago. Beautiful three story house with lots of room to stretch out, and a great host who makes you feel very welcome.

The hotel manager, Joy, was outstanding in making sure I was set for the evening. I chose a room that had a private bath, but it was down the hall. I had to use a skeleton key to unlock my door in the middle of the night, go down the hall and use the facilities. Not convenient all. The door locks all need repair.
