The room sizes are amazing. You get tons of space with 4 key areas, a living room, a bedroom, a massive bathroom and a generous outdoor patio space. All rooms come with an ocean view which makes selection much easier. We opted for the plunge pool which offers a perfect private option for relaxation in the room itself. There's 2 massive TVs as well which makes some of the downtime in bed a little more fun. The bathrooms are exceptional. Amazing rainfall shower, huge soaker tub, double sink.

The BEST RELAXING EVER! I was warmly greeted upon entering, shown the property and was waited on hand and foot. Enrique Levya, Norma, who took great care of me. Made sure I was well accommodated. The warm welcome from Maria and Brandon at reception felt like a hug, instantly wrapping us in the magic of this serene resort. The luxurious spacious Hacienda style suites, just steps away from the beach, offered an oasis of comfort and elegance. Each morning, we were greeted by thoughtful housekeeping staff, and the tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by lush surroundings, created the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The boutique luxury resort beautifully showcases Mexican culture with a delightful mix of old and new designs, adding visual interest and comfort. While some areas are a work in progress, this only enhances the charm of the property. Dining was thoughtfully curated and exceptionally tasteful, with Eduardo M. ensuring we dined like royalty and Ritchie’s cappuccinos starting our mornings perfectly. Every member of the resort truly cares, providing top-notch service. Our butlers—Norma, Cath, Rodrigo, Vanz, and Enrique—pampered us like family. Eduardo Q. made us feel like the only guests, and Karen, the concierge, was always thoughtful with recommendations. Sofia, the star parrot, brought smiles with her greetings. General Manager Cesar embodies hospitality, treating us like family. In every corner of Paraiso De la Bonita, we found warmth, beauty, and unparalleled service. I was very underwhelmed with my stay having been to two other all inclusive hotels in the area. Firstly, the beach here is practically unusable and this is not clear when booking. Chairs are not even setup on the beach, I just pulled one down since I didn’t want to be trapped at the pool all day. The parrot, Sofia, seems unhealthy and poorly cared for. She is given little attention, toys, or activities. You can see she is covered with pin feathers too. This is addressed in other reviews and am saddened there is not better care provided. I will say the staff is friendly and tries to be attentive but there isn’t much for them to do. The resort is so small there is not much need for a butler service. During my stay I had a worker come into my room without waiting for me to tell them to wait, as I was indisposed. I have never had this happen in a hotel before and was shocked the worker just came in. While the buildings were updated, the door to my room was not fitted properly. I could see the sunlight coming in, along with mosquitoes. This also made it difficult for the air conditioning to work well. Additionally, I was served raw chicken for dinner and when I said something was told that it was a chicken thigh, not a breast. That didn’t matter to me, raw is raw. I would not recommend this place to others and am sure you can find something nicer.

We had such a wonderful stay at this resort and can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member was incredibly friendly and kind. There is a genuine feeling of care here. It truly feels like the staff are happy to be there, and that attention to detail shows in every part of the resort. Our room was elegant, simple, and thoughtfully designed, and having a private mini pool area made it feel extra special and relaxing. The food was excellent. Fresh juices, smoothies, and avocado toast at breakfast were a highlight for me as someone who eats healthy, though there were plenty of great options for everyone. The tacos were a standout for our other meals. We also had butler service during our stay, and Catherine and Enrique were absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and they truly elevated our entire experience. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and well-cared-for getaway.

We had a great time! From check in to departure, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms are large and well-appointed with a comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. All rooms are ocean facing, and we also had large balconies. We spent most of the time at the main pool. Breakfast: there is an extensive ala carte menu with tacos that are prepared to order. There is a small buffet with fruit etc. for breakfast, This restaurant also serves Mexican food for lunch and dinner. The Mediterranean restaurant is open for dinner, with a mix of Italian and French dishes. There is also a Latin themed outdoor restaurant near the pool. The food was always delicious and well presented. While the menus are extensive, I can see that one may run out of new dishes if staying for more than 5-7 days. The property itself is clean and situated within natural surroundings with numerous birds and coati families! As expected, there is Sargassum weeds in the sea. The narrow beach is cleared of weeds several times a day, but this is not a resort where one would spend a lot of time on the beach. We found the service to be exceptional. A big thanks to our butlers Cath and Enrique, as well as Jesus and Jose who served us at the pool. However, every staff member was very helpful and quickly resolved the minor issues we encountered. Don't be discouraged by the potholes in the road to the resort; a slice of heaven exists beyond the gate!

I recently stayed at Paraiso La Bonita and want to start with the positives: the staff were exceptionally friendly and engaged, and the room was large, beautiful, and exactly as pictured. With the recent Marriott takeover, I see real potential and would consider returning. That said, several gaps kept this from feeling like a true 5-star experience. Service was consistently slow—both at the restaurant and especially at the pool, where it regularly took 30+ minutes just to place an order or receive a drink. Beach chairs were often unavailable as well. The staff were lovely, but the operation needs stronger systems and oversight. Dining options were also limited. Breakfast was fantastic, but with only two restaurants open for lunch and dinner, the menus quickly became repetitive during my five-night stay. Given how remote the property is, more variety or rotating specials would make a big difference. Room-service offerings were also minimal and not particularly impressive. Mid-stay, my room developed a strong drainage odor and a significant number of drain gnats, which led to multiple bites. Although I reported it, no one followed up. My room phone also never worked despite several requests, and housekeeping tended to be slow. The resort has strong potential under Marriott, but improvements in service speed, dining variety, and room maintenance are needed to deliver a true 5-star experience.

Excellent trip overall. Beautiful resort. Amazing food. Extremely friendly staff. We have been to Mexico about 5-6 times in the last few years, and this is the best resort we've been to yet. Would be delighted to return.

The staff was kind and the hotel room was very comfortable. Unfortunately the advertisement as per hotels.com of 2 pools, beach service and a functional spa were false. There was one pool with the other under construction, no full spa experience and no beach service. The beach was small but there were areas on the lush property that if promoted, the guests could have experienced this. More construction of other bar areas was also being done during the day. The property perhaps should have stayed closed while these modifications and improvements were being made. We had a three night stay, but after the first night we left for another resort.
