Bergerac is very pretty with cobbled streets, bars and restaurants. We did the local boat and train rides. It's not cheap, and we found the prices to be comparable to London, which did surprise us. Taxis must be booked in advance. Check-out Free bus!

You can't go wrong with having basically everything you'd ever need to refresh yourself afted a long trip. Good food, convenient pharmacies, and a very quiet place to be in the spring.

head into the old part for some lovely places to eat 10 mins slow walk from hotel
"We just had a 1 night stay on a Sunday (which did limit our dining options). Hotel is walkable (with luggage) from/to the train station, which added to its already very good value. We enjoyed its quiet location, short walk to old town (to see the “required” statues of Cyrano & the river). Clean & comfortable room. We did not partake of breakfast. Pleasant & helpful staff (helping me to print some required paperwork & advising on dining options)."
"We had a terrible start to our vacation due to a late flight, we had to catch a late train and we were unsure if we could even check in. Owner was able to help us. We’re very appreciative, this trip could’ve been awful but the owner turned it around into a good trip. Thank you. "
"Lovely friendly staff, my upset at not having enough pillows and coat hangers was rectified immediately. The only downside was the breakfast was not worth the 10 E that it cost. Otherwise a comfortable stay. Would go again "
"Well done to Marion and her team.
They have booked us Taxis, made us Pizzas, provided local information for buses, shops and restaurants, supplied extra towels and a hairdryer. The continental style breakfast is good value in price, and the facility is clean and well managed.
Everyone has spoken English, been polite, friendly and professional. This may be called a Hotel Ibis “Budget”, but it has high standards and all the staff work hard. Room 307 is at end of the corridor. It is a good size with separate shower (fabulous) and toilet."
