Exceptional front facing room with double glazed sash windows and air conditioning, clean mondern bathroom in keeping with the recent modernisation of this beautifil building. As always a wonderful reception from the staff on arrival, large bar area, resturant and easy seating. Large car park to rear.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Lovely clean , modern hotel with great facilities and great staff. Nijo on reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and Anja the breakfast waitress was friendly , kind and efficient . We had a great time here. The rooms had air con and everything you will need. We will be back and we recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room beautifully refurbished and clean. Hotel restaurant billing error, no refund as yet. Restaurant discounts available for staying guests. Shared car park good value but needs cleaning and bins, ashtrays overflowing. Staff friendly. Scaffolding on outside of hotel for long term refurb. View from room window obstructed by same scaffolding. AC very good during Aug 2026 heatwave

Room and entrance area were lovely. As expected in an older hotel some areas (the communal staircase) could do with some updating but didn’t bother us. Our room was spotless and very comfy. However, the windows are very old and therefore the rooms are very noisy (even on a Monday night). Luckily I sleep with ear plugs so didn’t affect my sleep too much but it was definitely annoying during the day. What made it worse was the hotel had building work ongoing on the floor above us which we weren’t told about at check in or prior to arrival. This led to banging and drilling most of the day which was disappointing. Overall I’d recommend as the room was lovely and the bed so comfy just being earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
