Very outdated and unclean. No private bathroom. Breakfast hours are very early. No temperature control in the room and it was very hot. Overall a bed to sleep in but the kind your scared to touch the comforter on.

Valdez ManCamp
This place is very BASIC, with restroom down the hall. Comfortable enough and clean with no frills, except breakfast was included, which was nice. Probably the only reasonably priced room in Valdez, even though prices went up, like everywhere else. I’m fine with staying here once a year.

I stayed at the mancamp for 3 week. The rooms are quite comfortable with plenty of storage for organization on an extended stay. They have all the amenities you would need from washer and dryer with detergent provided to good Wi-Fi. I was a little skeptical about the meal plan before arriving but was blown away once I got here. THE FOOD IS AWESOME! It is way cheaper than anything in town (including the Safeway) and just as good if not better than most places. This is definitely my go to spot from now on when staying in Valdez!

Had refrigerator for food storage. Room was not vaccumed daily. Toilets were trashed by some occupants. Combo lock taken from my room during my stay and this is unacceptable. It appeared that cleaning crew looked into my cabinets. I locked door each time I left.

They are atco trailers stacked to create this man camp. Single, regular sized bed, desk, a computer monitor acting as a TV with cable TV and a chair. No amenities except for an excellent breakfast, unfortunately it is only from 5:30 - 6:30 AM. Bathroom is down the hall and shared among the entire floor. If u need a bed and nothing else then this may fit the need.

This is exactly what it says it is: a mancamp. Mainly used by pipeline workers. It is basic, shared showers and a common room with a decent breakfast. You won’t find anything cheaper in Valdez. It’s a step up in price and accommodation from paid camping. I thought it was good value for the money. Great for a solo male traveler who doesn’t want to camp.

Paper thin walls and saggy old mattresses
I wasn’t expecting much because I knew it was a budget accommodation, a facility made from pre-fabricated Atco units. However, the mattress was horribly worn out, to the point of sloping to one side and concave in the middle from probably decades of use. The whole place only had a handful of people staying there overnight, but they put me right next to the other occupied rooms, and unfortunately the walls are paper thin so I could hear every little movement and phone conversations through the walls. Needless to say, I did not sleep well and won’t be returning. It’s worth paying a little more elsewhere for a comfortable stay.

A room first assigned had a door key not working. A worker checking the lock status suggested and helped to change the room. Public toilet and shower booths. Clean. Quite. Close to the city.
