Rye is full of quaint old streets, shops, pubs and restaurants. There is an extraordinary micro brewpub called the Waterworks - if you like that sort of thing it is a must to see. The Mermaid Inn is also another must see in the town. Well worth it

February stay was perfect. The town was not too busy. Lovely place to wander around, very pretty and plenty of history. Many varied options for eating and the Ship Inn, in particular were dog friendly. Will return.

Visit the heritage centre. Watch the light show. Follow the heritage trail using the £2 map for sale at the centre. There are plenty of places to catch a cup of coffee or a cream tea.

Walk to Camber was lovely. The George is nice place to while away a Friday. The Mermaid Cafe does lovely breakfasts..Lovey old town to mooch about.
"This is an excellent hotel. Great service and very comfortable. Breakfast was standard breakfast buffet but with very high quality food. Bar and food great and reasonable for a hotel of this quality and location
Wouldn't look anywhere else.

"This is an impressive grand old hotel with professional, friendly staff. We really enjoyed its position on the seafront and its two pools.
However, parts of the hotel are very dated and staff were overwhelmed at breakfast, which meant service was slow and detracted from overall experience.
The bed was too soft and pillows old and flat. The bathroom was a museum piece! For these reasons, we felt it was very overpriced. It needs alot of money spending on it to modernise it."
"I’ve got to say the service was 10/10 and I think it was the assistant manager who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and got everything they needed, will definitely be going back "
"Situated in a good position within walking distance off all the Town's attractions.
Excellent Breakfasts, set you up for the day.
The room was clean and comfortable with good en-suite
bathroom, with shower.
Would use again on next visit."
"I've had a very pleasant day the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast and evening meal in the hotel with just what I wanted great choice nothing was overdone cooking wise.
The location for the hotel with just what I needed short walk from the town.
Hotel does have entertainment in the evenings and it's great to hear a good singer.
Many times before and we'll definitely stay there again."
