We had a small kitchen to fix meals or heat up something from the 7/11 around the corner. The staff were friendly and helpful. The closeness to Kyoto Station was a big plus. We had a great stay at the Mimaru Kyoto Station, really enjoyed this line of hotels. The staff was great and the apartments are well suited for families. Great to have a nice quiet place to rest with the kids with space more equivalent to western travelers. Be prepared for early rises though as the shades behind the windows do not block much light.
