We had a disappointing stay at Eurostars uHotel. The booking was for one night. On arrival, we were delighted to find out that our room had been upgraded with a Castle view. The room was clean and initially met our needs.
However, in the evening, when we were getting ready for bed, our toilet did not flush and the cistern was not filling up with water. We called down to reception who sent a member of the reception team up to check. The gentleman said that he would check if a maintenance person was working and would let us know. We did not hear back from reception and called down again as we were tired and wanted to go to bed. The Receptionist informed us that there was no maintenance person available until 8am and that they were fully booked so there was nothing they could do.
This was extremely frustrating as a basic need of going to the toilet could not be met and we had to travel from the 7th floor down to reception during the night to use the toilet. This was unacceptable.
In addition to the toilet, the air conditioning did not work and the room was extremely hot throughout the night.
We alerted staff to the issues in the morning but by this point, nothing could be rectified as were leaving.
The hotel could not offer us any form of a refund as booked theough Expedia.
We feel very disappointed with our stay and having spent a lot of money to not even have basic needs being met. Despite the room issues, the hotel staff were welcoming.
