This small town is over endowed with wonderful restaurants. You will see this area on Laurel St. which is about 5 blocks away. but I must also mention the excellent Afghan restaurant across the road: KABUL! Take kids to the beautiful parks, too!

San Carlos is a nice little town with good restaurants and shopping. Johnston's Saltbox is a favorite restaurant for brunch, lunch and dinner.

It appears restaurants in San Carlos don't stay open very late, but overall convenient to express and food choices.
"The staff was very helpful. The carper was kinda unclean and sticky, so was the restroom. Everything else was very comfortable, also could hear people crossing the hallway very clearly, so might cause discomfort through the night."
"Our family stayed overnight before taking an early morning flight. The hotel was a mile from SFO, clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. We’d stay again for the convenience."
"Reasonable price and excellent quality in the SFO area. Parking is a bit crowded, but there's still enough space. Breakfast is sufficient. There is a McDonald's and a gas station nearby. It seems a perfect budget hotel before starting the actual destination. "
