We were so glad we added Takamatsu to our itinerary. Ritsurin Garden was the best garden we've visited on our trip, and the udon bowls are delicious! Would definitely recommend spending a day or two in Takamatsu!

Excellent
I stayed in Takamatsu to access all the art islands, which worked out great. It is a nice size town with an extensive arcade area for shopping and dining. So convenient. It also has a nice size airport with flights to Tokyo and abroad.

Very relaxing to get away from the rest of bustling Japanese capitals. Nice to walk around, relax and unwind in a lovely modern city. Lots of good dining options within a short walk of our hotel near the train station.
"The staff was friendly and great service. Breakfast buffet was mainly traditional Japanese and was excellent. The room was a little tired with some peeling wallpaper and it smelled of smoke when I first arrived (non-smoking room). The cleaning service was good and we received fresh towels every day. The location was perfect for the conference."
"Great place to stay. The staff at the desk were very helpful, finding me a room the first night when I had started the reservation on the wrong day, and helping me print documents at the last minute during crunch time. Very nice rooms. Central location, but not noisy."
"a staff helped us with check in and it was easy and efficient.
Room was very spacious for Japan standard. There were dead mosquitos, body hair and blood stain found in the new bed. Everything else was very clean tho.
Self check out. They offer free locker for you to store your suitcases in case you need to take them later.
Few minutes walk to train station and main shopping streets. Very convenient."
