"To be fair, the hotel was clean and well maintained. Air con worked well which was good as it was very hot when we visited.
Feel as though property was mis-sold to a degree as there is NO POOL available to use. This was one of the reasons for booking it in the first place. We were advised to use pool facilities in Avellino a few miles away. If there’s no access to a pool, why even mention it and/or put photos of one on the Expedia page? A bit misleading.
Restaurant on site doesn’t open until 7.30pm so as we had kids, we had to travel to nearby Avellino in search of an earlier meal. Breakfast was available but not ‘to order’ as described on Expedia. It was limited to cake. Cereal available but bowls and milk not available.
Slightly older member of staff (a gentleman) kept speaking to us in Italian and we made no secret of the fact we couldn’t speak a word. Yet he continued to talk AT US rather than TO US in Italian which became a bit bothersome as he would do it at every opportunity leaving us not knowing what he wanted or what he was saying. It ended up with us having to dash quickly to and from the lift past reception, avoiding eye contact on the way.
Lastly, don’t expect a restful night as the local dogs sleep during the day and spent ALL NIGHT (not even joking) barking to one another and even intermittent group howling in an effort to see who has the loudest vocal chords. "
"Check in was ok, there was a language barrier. We were told the pool was open till 6:30 and it wasn’t. As we got in we were kicked out. There is a charge for the indoor pool, which we were told was 10 but see signs saying 5. The hotel is having building works. People were working as we went to our room. The whole place smells of sewage. We tried to get a drink at the bar but they didn’t have basic things like lemonade. I went to walk the dog and we were attacked by stray dogs that roam both the property and outside and the car park. They are there day and night barking and chasing. Dogs also going around the car park urinating on all the cars. Went back to the room and found it was mouldy, furniture was rubbish, tv not viewable, curtains broken, fire alarm was covered and AC didn’t really work. Tried to talk to reception was told it had to wait until morning as he didn’t speak English, he was more of a night watch man. There are no security doors and the fire doors are propped open and the fire alarm looked like it was still being installed. The room balcony had no furniture to sit on. I got up in the morning to walk the dog and was attacked again by stray dogs. We decided to check out as the hotel didn’t seem to understand the issues. I thought I agreed with reception I would pay for the night we stayed and be refunded the rest and the manager would contact me. This did not happen, her English was ok on check in but nothing when there was an issue. Still no contact or refund"
"Hotel is quiet and clean. Close to a bus stop , banks , and restaurants. Staff is very helpful. Eggs can be requested at breakfast. The view from my room and balcony was amazing . I'll be back ! "
"Hotel was where we and guests stayed for our sons wedding in Volturara. We also hosted a reception at hotel in the restaurant for 25 friends and family. Some were unhappy with having to pay for parking since we reserved so many rooms.

"This is a nice hotel in a small city. It is updated, clean and convenient to nearby attractions, and there is a wonderful full-service, fine dining restaurant on the property. The breakfast is very good. Service was wonderful - everyone was friendly and willing to go above and beyond to assist. There is also a nice pool and lobby bar. We will definitely stay here again if visiting Avellino."
"Fantastic place, the staff were really friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and the food was superb and restaurant its self was sited beautifully between the pool and veiws across the valley. Fully enjoyed our stay very relaxing after the rat race of naples."
