Better place to stay compared to Portofino. Traffic jam driving in and out of Portofino on weekends

Awesome sea port town; multiple restaurants all within walking distance from Hotel Laurin. The Bus, Taxi and Water Taxi are all a 3-min walk from the hotel. We absolutely enjoyed the easy walking through the village and along the coast.
"Amazing property smartly outfitted with an attention to detail that is rare! Staff is lovely and inviting. Felt as if I were visiting a wealthy eccentric friends villa in Italy!! Will be back for sure. "
"We loved the view from the private balcony. The harbor was peaceful and beautiful. The hotel was a short walk from churches and restaurants. We enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. Lovely hotel."
"This is a lovely place and only a short walk from the waterfront (not on the waterfront as the listing says). Parking in a side street was easy and it appeared to be safe. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great. "
"Our dinner at Il Leccio was, without question, the best meal we had during our entire time in Santa Margherita. From the moment we arrived, Lucca and Monica, along with the entire staff, made us feel incredibly welcome—warm, genuine hospitality that elevated the entire evening.
The food was beyond exceptional—every dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The care and passion from the kitchen came through in every bite.
The location couldn’t be more perfect—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet still a short and scenic trip from both Portofino and Santa Margherita.
We’re already dreaming about our return. Grazie mille to Lucca, Monica, and the whole team for an unforgettable night. We can’t wait to come back!"
