Solvang is a quaint town with a very slow moving atmosphere. It's great to be in a place where you can truly get away from work, life etc. And truly relax by going wine tasting, hiking and just enjoying a delicious meal with your loved one's.

Best restaurant in Solvang is Osteria Grappolo, across the street and down a bit. Great food, reasonable prices. Aebleskiver is good for lunch. Shopping -- Fairy & Frog is enchanting; Picket Fences and for antiques go to Pieces of the Past.

Cute and beautiful town! A friendly shopkeeper told us that we arrived in the middle of an unprecedented tourist rush - half the restaurants were closed and the other half had lines spilling into the street (1hr+ waits for breakfast).

Solvang is a wonderful little town. We really enjoy supporting the local shops, especially at Christmas time. The restaurants are all amazing and it's such a nice break get away from the corporate chains like McDonald's!

Loved that everything is walkable! We enjoyed The Haunt ghost tour and Casa Cassara for wine testing. Look for the 2 for 1 ad on the Solvang map which is readily available . Mary was awesome!

Great dining, wine tasting, golf and shopping options with Mission Santa Ynez nearby. Gets a lot of visitors on weekends, summer and holidays so traffic can be slow. Plenty of parking.
