Hotels in Summer Shade

"Room was a little run down but extremely clean, fresh smelling sheets on the bed, and the appliances (microwave, fridge, cable) all worked perfectly. The room smelled NORMAL. No strange odor or stale smell. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and I was so happy to stay somewhere so unscented! It was better than i expected and as good as i was hoping for! "

"This property is so clean, you will think it is brand new. That is the main reason for such high ratings. It is right off of the interstate, within reasonable distance to Mammoth Cave NP, and only a mile from the quaint little downtown of Cave City. The pool was very small, which was pointed out by the desk clerk. There IS NO HOT TUB. Expedia shows that it has a hot tub. The fitness center only had 3 pieces of equipment. When I thought it was new, I figured they were just saving up to be able to afford more. Nice refreshing water in the fitness room. Here's the kicker, the lady working the breakfast area had a bad cough, very ill. This really concerned me. Also, the guy who did the check-in, told me there is no hotel in the world that will give you a better rate than you can get online. I know this is not true, because other Choice hotels have given me a better rate. That is why I waited until I got there to check the price. Not only did he tell me that, but I heard him tell 2 other parties they could get a better rate online. He really was putting down this hotel. Telling me all they had for breakfast was cereal, cereal and cereal. Not true, they also had waffles and yogurt. He was really pumping up the Hampton Inn, which it sounded like was owned by the same people because he said he worked there and at another hotel too. The reason I gave the staff 3 stars, is because of the gentleman who checked us out in the morning. He was super nice, and super helpful!"

"The little indian guy was super cool , he offered me drinks when I was standing outside smoking and asked me about my travel journey. The wife was also nice. If you need something cheap these guys are super decent. Would recommend "

"This place is so peaceful and private. The room was so beautiful and cozy! It was an absolute dream! They had everything you would ever need. The bed was so cozy! It was incredibly clean and I felt right at home. We will be back! "
