"Clean room, friendly staff. A bit outside of town so that we needed to drive to a pub. But it was fun staying in a castle. I would have liked to have some info in the room about the history of the building. Maybe it was in the room and I missed it?"

"The room was a bit dark but perfectly adequate and had all the usual amenities-tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, water and toiletries. The atmosphere and decor in the bar was really great and the food was exceptional-this is what you should come for!"

"When we were checking out we asked the receptionist where we could buy a new umbrella nearby. She went and got us one from their lost & found collection, saying “people leave umbrellas behind in their rooms all of the time”. She saved us time and money AND saved the planet some landfill space by recycling a perfectly good umbrella! Our room was perfect, the hotel was quiet, our breakfast and dinner were very good and the hotel was within walking distance to a local pub with an “open” session where my wife filled a bucket list dream of playing in a session in Ireland!"

"There was a little confusion at check in about which rooms we had been assigned, but it was resolved quickly. The restaurant was not open for dinner on the night that we stayed at Clancy’s, but it was only a few km to find a place to eat. The rooms were very quiet and everything worked well. Breakfast was included and we requested to have it at 7:30. They were not able to accommodate that, but made it for 8:00 and it was excellent. "

"We loved our stay here! We had a group of 6 - one had to sleep on the couch but it is large and very comfortable! Very quaint and well-maintained. The host was very kind and helpful and attended to whatever we needed in a quickly and friendly manner. It was very easy to communicate prior to our arrival and she accommodated a late check-in with no issue. We enjoyed all the animals, they’re all very sweet and quiet. Beautiful country surroundings. "Our hosts Elspeth and Drew Vaughan were amazing. Very welcoming and informative. Some of the most pleasant and adorable hosts I’ve ever had. The area and hut were very clean and comfortable. They provided history and information about the area. Just wonderful. If I’m ever able to return to Ireland, I would definitely choose to stay here. "
