Beautiful city. Surrounded by mountains and ocean. Food is good. First time I got to actually see the sky during my trip in Japan.

Go in the spring to see the cherry blossoms at Hirosaki Castle, that's the main highlight.

"The room is spacious, with beautiful views, convenient transportation, good staff service, and know English and Mandarin. The lounge floor has stunning views and snacks. Overall, this is a very high quality hotel."
"The dormy inn Aomori is an excellent choice for a short stay in the area. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is extremely gracious. I chose this because I wanted to stay in a hotel that had access to an onsen, and this one did not disappoint. The onsen facility was clean, never over crowded and a nice temperature even during the hot summer. A complimentary cream or popsicle after you soak was a bonus. "
"Hotel Select Inn Aomori is an older hotel that feels like it needs some updating. However their service was excellent. We had breakfast included, they let us take a different bun everyday and one night provided a simple supper service as the local restaurants were all closed due to a holiday."
