I booked a room advertised with a city view, but nearly 80% of the view was obstructed by the adjacent building. The hotel staff did not inform me of this issue when I checked in, which I find misleading and disappointing.
In addition, there was a stainless steel eye bolt vertically and firmly fixed on the floor right next to the bed. My husband did not notice it at first, and when he tried to get onto the bed, he accidentally kicked it with his toes and was injured. This is a serious safety hazard that should never exist in a guest room.
Furthermore, I was surprised to find two large rolls of “Simplicity Descending Life Line” left in the room. This is my fifth stay at RYSE, and I have never encountered such items here or in any other hotel. I do not understand why the staff placed them in the room, and their presence was both unusual and unsettling.
We also experienced issues with the toilet. We used it in a normal manner, only with the toilet paper provided by the hotel, and never disposed of anything else in it. Despite this, the toilet became clogged very easily, which caused great inconvenience.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my stay this time. The combination of misleading room information, unsafe conditions, unusual items in the room, and poor maintenance made the experience unacceptable. I sincerely hope the hotel will take immediate action to address these issues and ensure they do not happen again.
