Amazing location and incredible value for money. We stayed in the Tabacon Spa before this place and considering you could stay here for circa 6 nights for the price of the spa, this is incredible value. AC worked great, daily room clean ensure a very clean facility inside and out, and very helpful and pleasant staff. We booked the couples massage also via the hotel menu and they come to your own chalet and both people were expert and very charming, it was another highlight and again good value at circa 50% of the price you pay at the spas or back in North America. Highly recommended place for couples and families.

For the price point during peak season, our bungalow with its own jacuzzi all surrounded by amazing flora and situated at a fair distance from other nearby bungalows, with its own on-prem cute bar, located on a relatively quiet street, about 5 minutes by car from La Fortuna waterfall, was excellent.

I stayed at Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul for two nights in March and had a very relaxing experience. The property has a quiet, peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after exploring the La Fortuna area.
One of my favorite parts of the stay was the sound of the river flowing behind my cabana. It created a constant natural backdrop that made the whole place feel calm and secluded. I stayed in the cabana that sits a bit farther away from the others, and I really appreciated the added privacy. It felt like having my own little retreat surrounded by nature.
The location is also a big advantage. It is close enough to La Fortuna to easily access restaurants, tours, and the main attractions, but far enough away to avoid the noise and crowds of town. After a busy day out, coming back to such a quiet setting was perfect.
If you are looking for a place that feels peaceful, private, and immersed in nature while still being convenient to La Fortuna, Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul is an excellent choice. I would happily stay there again.
