+ coole Lobby und auch cooler Style im Zimmer, aber im Gang veraltet (wird bald renoviert), gute Zimmeraustattung - einzig zu wenig Licht zB zum Lesen abends oder auch generell abends sehr dunkel + Upgrade und Late-Checkout waren super + Sehr guter Lärmschutz + Nettes Personal am Strand und bei der Rezeption - Check-in ging eher lang, hatte Problem beim Prozess der Karte und danach wurde immer wieder versucht die Karte meiner Freundin zu belasten - Hotel ist in mehreren Gebäuden, sprich unseres war nicht direkt am Strand und man musste zuerst über eine Strasse, um zum Pool & Strand zu kommen - Personal beim A-la-Carte Frühstück war unfreundlich und zudem war es unverhältnismässig teuer, es hat genügend in der Gegend was besser ist

Relaxing Weekend
I recently spent the weekend at the bungalow in Plunge and had a relaxing time overall. The room was functional, and the best part was the easy access to the beach, making it perfect for a beachside getaway. We particularly enjoyed the bar, Backflip, where the service was friendly and the atmosphere lively—definitely our favorite spot. Dining options were limited, with only the coffee shop Bean and barnacle, and a breakfast spot, Octopus, but the food at both was tasty. However, I did feel a bit disappointed with a couple of things. We were charged a parking fee, which felt unnecessary, and the tables in Backflip could have been wiped down better after guests had finished their meals. All in all, the experience was great, and I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars. Despite these small issues, we had a lovely time at Plunge and would definitely consider returning!

Death by 1000 paper cuts
Plunge has so much potential and it COULD be a great resort, but it is suffering death by a thousand paper-cuts instead. 1. I did not pay attention to the reviews about a rude front staff. but wow, the male staff at the front are incredibly unhelpful and rude. 2. You cannot check in before 4pm. dont even try. 3. The bicycles that you pay to use (resort fees) can only be used by those 18 and above, so our 16 year old couldn't use them. No exceptions. 4. Although advertised as family friendly, it is geared toward adults. The pool bar is loud and lively and lots of drinking going on. 5. When you check in, there are only 2 bath towels provided. We had to constantly call the front desk and ask for more towels. They also provide super small body wash and shampoo, so either ask for more upfront, or bring your own shower stuff. 6. They did not clean the room (even though they said they clean daily). When the housekeeping staff finally showed up, it was at 5:15pm, and we had just come in from the beach and were all showering for dinner. 7. Pay attention to where the room is when you book or you'll end up across the street in the main tower, across the street from the beach. 8. The air conditioner is just a wall unit so it's either freezing cold or sticky because of the humidity. it's not very comfortable 9. the service stops at 3pm on the beach. 10. Plunge does have tons of beach chairs, (only a few umbrellas) but they are always taken.

"A great PLUNGE".
The location was great and close to the beach plus it was nice to have the beach chairs and umbrellas delivered to the area of the beach where we wanted to relax. Also, the paintings and photographs on the lobby walls were an added feature to view. staff was friendly and good drinks @ Backflips

Had a great time overall
Plunge was great! Great location with the beach right there, and a 10 minute walk from the tourist strip. All the guys working at the beach stand were amazing, going above and beyond to set you up. The lobby is gorgeous and very welcoming! The elevator is very slow, and the posted inspection was months out of date. Hallways were dated, but rooms were nice. In order to use a microwave you have to rent one for $25 which seems ridiculous. Food at the bar and in the lobby were good, but inconsistent. The breakfast potatoes day to day were cut & cooked differently and that didn’t go over well with my kids. The first time we got BBQ wings they had a dry rub, the second time they had a sauce. There should absolutely be uniformity to the food you’re serving. While the bartenders were great, I didn’t love that several times they upgraded my drinks so they were no longer under the happy hour specials I was going for. I got a kiddy cocktail for my daughter and was given a much pricier virgin margarita. I also did not appreciate that they never gave me an option to sign up for the rewards. I only saw it on my last day when the bartender left her POS with me because she was busy. I spent a ton of money at the bar and restaurants throughout my trip, and would’ve appreciated saving a buck here and there. Beyond the annoying hiccups, we had a great time!

Great location but needs TLC
Overall, the Plunge needs some remodeling. The halls need paint and new carpet. Our bed was very comfortable and the sheets/towels were all good. The room furnishings were old and needed updating. Our room was clean and the shower worked fine. The breakfast food was very good and the morning staff (Bianca and Angel) were friendly and fun. The pool and pool bar were very nice. When we booked we were told parking was free, but we were charged $25/day. We loved being right on the beach and a short walk to fun bars & Restaurants at Lauderdale-By-The Sea.
