Do it!
This is a quaint place and the ambience seems genuinely Irish. It was impeccsably clean and certainly offers everything that does a room at the Pfister or Kate, if you over look the abscense of a microwave and small fridge, neith of which is/was on our wish list. Also consider that parking is free, which costs 30+ dollars a night at the aforementioned and others of similar ilk. The location is convenient too, especially when you consider how eay it is to exit/enter the parking lot at your whim.

Great stay and convenient location
Great place to stay. Friendly staff, on-site parking, and attached pub were the top benefits. Food and drink at the pub were amazing. Neighborhood was very walkable and we walked to several other great food/drink locations in Milwaukee.

Outstanding with important caveat
County Clare is pretty, it's quaint, it feels like a family run business in all the best ways. The people are friendly, the spaces are clean, the restaurant/bar is excellent. But please be warned, the walls are thin and the rooms feel antiquated - I wouldn't want to spend multiple nights there in a row because of loss of sleep. As a one night getaway with a fantastic restaurant/bar downstairs, an incredibly convenient parking lot, and some of the nicest staff you'll find, you won't do much better. Highest recommendation for a short stay.

Our getaway without worrying about anything!
My wife and I prefer to stay at County Clare simply because it’s the most comfortable hotel in Milwaukee. The moment we park our vehicle we are relaxed!From great staff at every position to wonderful food and drinks!

Charming room, fantastic food and bar
A fantastic experience in a lovely neighborhood near the lake. Not all locally owned vintage boutique hotels live up to their hype but this one does. Down to Earth, not fancy, convenient free parking, absolutely fantastic restaurant and bar. Slainte!

We loved the County Clare! Very clean rooms in good shape. Breakfast omelets We loved the soaker tub. Only thing that could improve is parking access in the back. The neighborhood residents are a bit noisy/yelling on Fri and Sat night.

Everyone was so welcoming! The staff was attentive; I asked for a fridge for our room and it was in place before we brought our gear in from the car. The room was lovely and spacious. It was so nice to go downstairs to the pub for dinner and the food was fabulous! I don’t eat bread pudding often as my Irish grandmother used to make it, but they make it just like she did. Restful sleep and wonderful omelets made by Ben the next morning topped off our stay in Milwaukee. This is the place to stay if you’re headed to Milwaukee. Top marks!
