I really wanted to like this hotel. The location in Gatlinburg is great and the staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. There was hair everywhere — on the bed, in the corners of the bathroom, and left in the drain. The floors didn’t feel clean either, and the room had a terrible smell, almost like it had been smoked in for years. There were also no towels when we arrived, and after asking for some for three people, we were given only one regular bath towel and three small hair towels. Check-in was also very unorganized. The front desk didn’t seem to know which rooms were clean or dirty, and the gentleman working had to physically walk around to find available rooms for guests checking in. For the price we paid, the quality simply wasn’t there. The friendly staff and great location were definitely positives, but unfortunately they weren’t enough to make up for the cleanliness and overall experience. I really wanted to like this hotel, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
