East Dragon Hotel was a great place to stay whilst in Taipei. the location is close to two MRTs which would get you around the city.
Staff were friendly, the only downside is the bed it's firm but that's normal for east Asian cultures.

I loved the location! The area was very walkable, safe and nearby eateries and shopping. I regularly went for walks alone at 3-4am, and felt completely safe. The a/c worked great, which was a huge plus. I would definitely stay here again.
It's located just across the street from the Ximending pedestrian area, so you get immediate access without having to stay directly in the chaos.
