The staff was lovely however the hotel room wasn't the cleanest. I understood that it was right next to the canals however there were so many bugs in the room and it freaked me and my daughter out. Thankfully it was just one night and we made it through but we were getting rid of bugs left and right all night.

The hotel was really nice. Small rooms as expected in Amsterdam and could do with a refurb but it was very clean snd the staff were lovely and helpful. The area was good and within easy walking distance of everything. Loads of shops and bars and eating places around. Would recommend

Our stay at the hotel was good overall, and any challenges we experienced were manageable. One of the highlights was the excellent location—we were perfectly situated near a variety of stores, bars, and local conveniences, which made it easy for us to get around and enjoy the area without any hassle. Whether we needed to grab something quickly or explore nearby nightlife, everything was just a short walk away. The staff played a big role in making our stay pleasant. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They were attentive when we needed assistance, and their warm attitude helped create a comfortable atmosphere throughout our stay. While the stay wasn’t without its small inconveniences, they didn’t overshadow the overall experience. As the description stated it is a very small room basically only space to sleep but it was worth it for the view over the canal and being so central to everything. As we were out and about most of the days and didn’t stay very long, the small room didn’t bother us. So all in all was happy with my stay!

Budget for a family of 6

We just stayed just to sleep nothing else. Its not a resort so dont expect it is.. If you are a practical person like me, and just need some place to sleep. This is it. In fairness, the beds are comfy.. staff are helpful! and you can leave your baggage for free after checking out and explore the city.

Nice hotel for families close to station

We wanted a hotel walking distance from train station and this was perfect since we were just staying for a day! There are 5 in my family and we were in 1 room which was perfect for our short stay. Restos and stores close by, and staff was friendly!

The daytime staff at the front desk were excellent. Very friendly and professional. Night time staff was a bit harder to understand. Overall the room was clean. A few things to know: this place is a bit strange. Small stairs randomly placed in hallways, no elevator and very tight spiral stairs between floors. My room had a private bathroom, but it was across the hall. I didn't know this until I checked in. the walls and windows are thin. You will hear everything your neighbours are doing and saying. You will hear every conversation on the street below you. Finally, they ask that you leave the key when you leave the building. Might be a flag for some people. Overall, average is a fair ranking and the price was reasonable. Next time I will move futher into the city to get away from the noise and have a bit more space in the room.

Lovely staff!!

Staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. We were able to leave our bags before and after check in which was great. We booked a small double canal view room, which as it says, was small, but room enough for 2 people to sleep and fine as we were barely in there. Overall very pleased and would stay again:)

Nice place, we arrived early but we weren’t allowed to check in early which was fine because it forced us to go walk around and we had a good time exploring. Very close to the red light district and there’s a good restaurant right next door and a museum next door as well. Our view from our room was great. Overall wonderful place.

A very convenient budget hotel. Easy walking distance for centre of Amsterdam. Plenty of places to dine. The staff are helpful and the room is cleaned every day with fresh towels. The only issue is that, due to the type of building, the rooms are very small, with no storage space. The shower was lovely but the bathroom very cramped. You can have breakfast the nearby eateries, so the fact that there is no bar or dining room is not too much of a hassle.

I stayed in #104. It's tight. Bed was comfortable though I like a firm mattress. If you had two people you would be arguing over who got to use the blanket, it didn't reach side to side. But for me it was enough. You get a private bathroom which was nice, but be ready to do yoga to get around the sink. Very tight bathroom. Staff was lovely. Location is right at the north end of the red light district, super easy to walk to the train station, and you're sort of central to lots of restaurants and other attractions. I walked all over the downtown core easily and fairly quickly. Grab a bike and you'd get everywhere quickly. If you're used to North American hotels, even small ones, this will be a surprise, but if you've travelled in Asia at all this will be familiar. A little steep in price in my opinion, for what you get, but again, if you want to be in the hub you're there. It felt clean and though the building has history it's well maintained and the room itself was fairly modern.

Room wasn’t ready two hours after check in, one pillow person only which were basically small cushions, no complementary drinks or snacks at all, window was hanging on for dear life when opened, dampness around window but other than that location is perfect room was small but expected it really and yeah if you ain’t staying in the room for any other reason than to wash n sleep then it’s alright

Very central location and very friendly staff. The room that we had for one night was very small and the bathroom was across the hall. It was our own private bathroom but a bit inconvenient. The bathroom was also quite small. Good for solo travellers but for two people it was a bit cramped. Thankfully it was for one night only. Hotel, room and bathroom were clean just very small. Staff were very friendly and very helpful.
