HIghly Recommend. Great place for a solo traveler /young couple visiting Oaxaca. Nicely appointed, great bed, strong wifi/TV, Reliable hot water.
Javier is a tremendous host! If I was family, he could not have been more attentive. Though this was my 3rd trip to Oaxaca, I fould his advice and suggestions very valuable.
Tremendous location. Quick walk to major attractions in Centro. Similarly short walk to Xochimilco. Safe, yet lively neighborhood. The building is on a private street with car gates on the top and the bottom that can only be opened by residents. It is a street level unit, but due to the slope of the street, the main window has considerable privacy.
I arrived late but was able to get some great tacos three door down and across the at Nortenito Taco, Fresh, delicious, fast & friendly. Great to have a go-to place.
Casa Del Monte - just three door up the street is a wonderful coffee and breakfast place. Yes you can get it to g, but then you would miss out on the great city view & wonderful service. Try it! A Mariachi band played a dinner time during my stay.
Numerous places to eat or drink 5-10 minutes in any direction
Mercado Sanchez Pascuas is a short walk up the hill an adjacent hill and you can stock up for your stay.
If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. I found the room fan drowned out most ambient sound, but the taco restaurant is open late, school kids in the morning, cats and dogs nearby -City Life.
