The on-site restaurant has closed. You can not eat at the hotel. That was the one thing I wanted when booking, but I found a sign after checking in. There is plenty of general food within walking distance It was a good experience as a solo traveler, but you won't find modern amenities if that's what you are expecting.

We stayed two nights and were pleased with everything. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. I liked that it was such an old building because it was a step back in time. The elevator and hallways were narrow which my husband did not like but I think that is what you get with such an old building. Nothing special about the rooms but for the price I think it was a great deal. Big plus was the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We will definitely stay there on any future trips to Buffalo

This is a historic hotel and very beautiful. However, the room smelled of bleach so much so it gave me a migraine. Because of preserving its history there are no amenities except a fridge and air conditioning. We were there for an event so as a place to sleep it was good. However, pricing is a big issue for me because there’s no reason for what I got that it should’ve been 200$.
