I think the hotel has received a bad rap recently. It is a 2* hotel not a 5*. Maintenance was a little lacking missing light bulb in bathroom and paint spilled while painting on the carpet in my room but seemed clean and everything worked. Staff was friendly enough and no issues. For the location and convenience to freeway I had no complaints and would stay again without hesitation.

The entrance needs cleaning. The facility has a cat. Cat hair was prevalent outside the main entrance, and the cat smell was overwhelming in the entryway of the hotel. I do NOT like cats. There was too much fragrance sprayed to cover up the smell. The beds were comfortable and there was good water pressure. The carpets need to be replaced. The people running the hotel were very kind.

Renovation is going on great! Manager Yuveee was amazing — very kind and generous. The price was excellent since I was traveling on a budget. Pet friendly and perfect for an overnight stay. Nice small town atmosphere and very close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Highly recommend!

The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast is simple but sufficient. It's close to the highway as well, yet quiet. You can't ask for better at this bargain price. Yes, the exterior is a bit shabby, but the rooms are fine. Call ahead and reserve directly from the hotel. Unlike big chain hotels, where the Hotels price is better than walking in the door to reserve, the Hotels website added a full $20 to the price at the Roosevelt

It was exactly what we needed, someplace not too far from the Roosevelt National Park and library, and not crazy expensive. :) It was better than we expected based on what other reviews said. Yes it's an older property, but the room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and we got a great night sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful. We checked in late and it was no problem.

The back door was broken and you could just walk in. No security there. Breakfast was terrible. It was stale and old and bare. The coffee was yucky. Everything was moist and smelled like incense or mildew or both. The air conditioning was good. The room was decent if a little outdated or they rushed a paint job. There were electronics hanging out of the walls in the hallway. My shower had soap squirts on the walls that hadn’t been cleaned off and hair. I’ve stayed in worse. There are not many close grocery store options. The cutest tuxedo cat nearby. The front desk guy was friendly. Parking was easy but didn’t feel very safe.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms and great service. The manager, Yuvi, is a kind and good person who takes care of guests very well. I had a comfortable stay and would recommend Roosevelt Hotel to anyone traveling near Theodore national park ,medora musical ,makoshika park
