STUNNING! We absolutely loved staying at Embun. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfy and the pool is just absolutely gorgeous! Breakfast is delicious and this is overall a place that we absolutely loved staying at. We would highly recommend it and we would love to come back one day!

Everything is excellent. Location. Room. Facilities. Staff. Food. Service. I understand now why guests have been raving about this property after I have experienced it myself. I spoke with Jimmy, the owner, who is a very pleasant and engaging individual, and mentioned all this to him. Embun is impeccable. Best value for money.

Architecturally beautiful property along the beautiful Brunei River with stunning sunrise and sunset views. It is a fantastic place to stay in Brunei and a great restaurant underneath too. Best if you have a rental car (but you need that anyway to get around in Brunei). Sitting in the little pool overlooking the river is very memorable.

It is located a bit away from the city center, making it a great place for a quiet rest. I liked it even more because there is a swimming pool. The breakfast, prepared with care by the host, was really delicious. I had a very comfortable stay. If you use the Dart app, getting into the city center is not difficult at all.

In my opinion the only place to stay in Bandar. Friendly, kind and helpful hosts. First class amenities, a view to die for. Tranquility and peace. A pool with a view. Amazing breakfast. Good solid WiFi. A boutique guesthouse superbly designed with modern architecture. I would not hesitate to go back. If you’re thinking just book it. You will not be disappointed.

the couple who manage the hotel are absolutely charming. They were a great help to me in visiting the surrounding area. incredibly kind. the place is idyllic. nothing to do with large, charmless hotels. this place is magical with the high swimming pool, above the river. the rooms are magnificent and the bedding very comfortable, for a very reasonable price. I recommend the restaurant below. we eat excellent grilled meats there.

An incredible experience with friendly hosts

A big thank you to Diana and Dimi for their exceptional hospitality. This is a new, high-quality establishment offering direct access to the various tourist attractions in Bandar Seri Begawan. - The accommodation and pool are very clean, and the location is magnificent with a beautiful view of Brunei (the river). - The breakfast is excellent and gives you the energy you need for the day! - The restaurant downstairs is also very good. I highly recommend it, as it is much more authentic than the big hotels in Brunei. Thank you again for your hospitality.

Loved my stay at Embun... Exactly the weekend staycation for my wife's birthday... When you stay at Embun, get ready to be transported to a tranquil zone... The room was cozy, clean and complete... Immerse in the beautiful sunset and sunrise on the Brunei river bank from the comfort of your bed while sipping your tea/coffee... You might come for the view, but will leave with a heavy heart because of the warm hospitality of the owners who get out of their way to keep you good company and tend to your requests... I requested for a cake to surprise my wife; and Diana was gracious to help me and even bought a bouquet of flowers as her personal touch... That really exceeded my expectations... I am really thankful for the way she made my wife's special day even more special... If you are a foreigner, she will be happy to assist you as your personal tour guide... Especially if you are a solo traveller... Food? Embun has a restaurant located just below it, called Braai where good food awaits you... For my fellow Muslim travellers, they have a cute and comfortable surau/musolla for you to pray with your family...Overall, loved my stay at Embun... Definitely recommending the place to my friends and family... I found my place where I can have my reboot... Was thinking of gate keeping this place (haha), but I feel the owners deserve more people to know about this place... Happy to contribute even a little...
