The apartment was excellent, it is close so to the Cathedral and other things to see ! The hotel staff were very efficient when we had a problem with the electric point to charge car .. The two bedroom apartment with on suite was great, although we feel a a door is needed between the bedroom to kitchenette as the other couple felt they were unable to come and use the facilities as other couple are in bed! And some little cups would be good that fit under the coffee maker as mugs are to big to fit under ! Would recommend to others though.

Poets24 Apartments enjoys the best possible location in Ely with a large and secure free car park at its rear. The Cathedral is just across the road and everything you need including lunch by the riverside is within easy walking distance. The room was appointed to a high standard and the large walk-in shower was exceptional. The facilities at the Poets Hotel are just a minute up the road and a great cafe is virtually next door. The hotel staff are delightful, the bacon butty standout and basically look no further for a stay in Ely which is a fantastic experience in itself. No doubt the hotel is excellent but for us the Apartments are perfect and we will definitely stay there again on our next visit particularly with the ease and convenience of parking and the tranquil setting.

Don’t stay here. Hotel an example of style over substance. Looked good but that’s about it. Considering that we paid not much shy of £300 a night we expected that the apartment would be serviced daily. Even just fresh towels, empty bins and refresh tea tray would be an improvement. The bathrooms are wet rooms without screening between the shower and the rest of the room. Consequently when showering the whole bathroom floor got soaked with only the floor in the shower section raked to enable drainage. The tap in the bathroom sink takes up all the room making washing and shaving very difficult. No where to dry damp towels. Heated towel rail too small for purpose and didn’t work. The aircon circulated strong smell of cigar/cigarette smoke along with other allergens. One member of our group was unwell as a result. Most of the windows do not open making it difficult to air the apartment. Staff. A big issue with staff training and attitude. Reception staff were unable to program a third key card without a manager for an apartment sleeping four. Management uninterested in complaints or issues. Frontline staff are polite and pleasant but completely untrained. For example attending a wedding reception, table staff clearing desert cutlery before desert served. Lots of better and cheaper options are available in the area.

Excellent location with very easy walking into the City Centre and the Cathedral was only 5minutes walk away. Check-in was friendly and professional and although we arrived early this was not a problem. Excellent Car Parking facilities provided good access to the accommodation. The Apartment was located up several stairs without a lift option so worth considering if you have walking difficulties. Inside the Apartment was very spacious with a well laid out living space however the Sash Windows rattled a lot and I think it would be draughty in the Winter. The kitchen area was ok for light meals preparation as there was only a microwave but storage on top shelves and cupboards was hard to access unless you are over 6 foot. Also there is no freezer compartment in the fridge so therefore no ice facilities for a late night drink. The sofas and beds were very comfortable and the Apartment was very clean . The en- suite wetroom was well designed and spacious but the extractor did not work so made for a very damp and wet floor which we tried to resolve by opening the sash window which was then impossible to shut . Overall we enjoyed our time in this apartment and would consider staying again on a future short break
