Although the staff was friendly and allowed us to check in early, we didn’t enjoy our stay. After arriving, we wanted to take a nap. This was impossible because the bed was hard as a rock, and the entire hotel was filled with kids of all ages. It seems there was a soccer tournament in town because they all had soccer jerseys on. They were everywhere and they constantly made noise. We were on the 5th floor and the way the hotel is setup where the room’s are located causes an echo effect, so the noise was even more apparent, it was as if the kids were right outside our door. Our room didn’t have a do not disturb sign, which I usually use every time I stay at a hotel for a short period of time. This sign would’ve come in handy especially because housekeeping threw away my dirty underwear and socks. My guess is they probably thought it was trash since they were in a plastic bag. I always put my dirty laundry in a plastic bag and keep it in the hotel room so it doesn’t stench my clean clothes. I’ve never had housekeeping get rid of it until now. I’ll mention it again, the bed was hard as a rock. To the point where I woke up kind of sore in the mornings. We noticed that for some reason housekeeping changed our bed the last day we were there. They removed the king size bed and replaced it by putting two beds together. We noticed because there was an indentation in the middle of the bed during our last night. I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

This is 100% the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. They held me captive against my will. I chose not to check in after seeing that they were giving me the run around with the hotel rooms. Not even one of the rooms looked anything like Expedias photos. They said thats Expedias fault for advertising that picture. I argued that Expedia doesn’t have time to be falsely advertising when they have millions of hotels to focus on. Nothing worked in the rooms, the lights in the primary bedroom didn’t work, the lock box didn’t work. The smell of mildew was beyond what my lungs could handle. I immediately went into an asthma attack. The hotel manager sent an employee to stop me and told their security to lock in my driver from leaving until I paid the $200 for one night. I was in the room for a total of 1-2 minutes and said if you can’t get rid of that smell and fix every issue that I need for a safe stay then I’m leaving! This wasn’t American soil. This was in South America! I would never advise anyone to visit this nightmare hotel again! I went straight to the Hilton where they had compassion and kindness. Clean rooms and employees that do care about you and your wellbeing.

Tienen un aliado para los tours que se llama DISCOVERY y literalmente estafan a los turistas porque cobran cosas que son gratuitas dentro de los tours que ofrecen. Adicionalmente la calidad de los proveedores del tour es muy baja, desde carros que dejan de funcionar devolviéndonos en taxis locales (lo que no es seguro porque armas son tomados en la calle) hasta comida que no está bien tratada afectando la salud de los turistas. El proveedor está ubicado dentro del hotel y los funcionarios del hotel nos indican a los huéspedes que ellos hacen parte del servicio ofrecido por Regatta. Pese a que se le informó a la gerente de todas las complicaciones y de los dineros que los cobraron por asistir a eventos gratuitos, no recibimos respuesta alguna de su parte y lo que se percibe es que el personal se toma esto completamente a la ligera sin darle la seriedad del caso que esto amerita.
