Observed man Irish males speaking with profanity in public. Too many loid groups of (English) men dominating a room, shouting over etc. Lovely area just not the most classiest of people.

Lots to do close to Portimao. But as a town Faro and Albufeira and Lagos better options
"Just returned from an excellent week in the Jupiter Marina hotel. Staff were always friendly and helpful and extremely attentive. We were half board. There was an excellent choice at breakfast and the a la carte evening meal each night was of excellent quality. The room was modern and comfortable. The rooftop pool had limited sun loungers but we always managed to find some comfy sofas and beds on the sun terraces around the bar. The bar area itself was relaxing with musical entertainment in the evening with pleasant views across the evening. There was a shuttle bus to the beach but was also within walking distance as were shops and bars. Overall a great stay and would return. "
