Always a wonderful stay with lyf whenever we visit Penang! Rooms are clean, staffs are attentive & helpful and location is great for my family heading to eateries, pubs, shopping.
GM of Lyf Nixen even became a close friend after so many past trips staying at Lyf.

Excellent stay, clean rooms and guest areas, friendly and helpful staff. Everything you could want in a stay. Ice machine and filtered water on tap! great laundry, the machines have detergent dispensers built in so you don’t have to bring your own.

The mattresses, sheets, and pillows were all very comfortable, which is essential for travelers. The indoor swimming pool, though small, had a nice ambiance and lighting design, especially in the evenings. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help me, a traveler with limited English skills, for which I am very grateful.

It’s a good but not great property. Clean with a nice lobby and access to lots of restaurants and shops. I would stay here again, but it’s not my first choice in George Town. My favorite thing about the hotel is that it was washing machines and dryers!

The room I booked was tiny and yes it does have a window, but it faces another wall/window, so much of the time you cannot open the blinds, and it made the room felt even more claustrophobic.
The shower is clean, but very narrow even for a lady.
The shower gel rack is broken, pump head already fell out.
Walls are very thin, I could hear next door opening and closing doors like it's in my room!
For the price I booked, there are plenty of other options in Penang, such as a new hotel I also stayed during this trip. It had great view, offered breakfast, early check in and late check out. So I could only consider this hotel's value to be very average.
