It's a awesome outback pub, which sadly is in need of a complete upgrade. I was on a motorcycle trip with a mate and so our needs were Spartan.... Beds were comfy with clean sheets. Hot water in showers very welcome. Meals were fine.

Best avoided. Pretty ordinary, overall. No towels ( apparently there was some issue with couriers as there was a shed full of dirty linen). No cover on the grubby doona. No locks on windows. No guaze on bathroom windows to block out the flies. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom. With some attention these details, it could be OK. Had dinner at the hotel. Also ordinary.

It is a country hotel motel, so don't expect city upmarket hotel, hence enjoy the old style country feel and heritage that comes and relax have fun, we did.

Great location and people

We stayed at the Hawker Hotel Motel while visiting the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. The hotel is a bit rustic, but a great location. The staff of the hotel/bar/restaurant, especially Mike, was top-notch. We had a great meal at the restaurant and chat with Mike. Highly recommended!

Needed room upgrade on arrival photos on website misleading especially for the hotel rooms. Their motel rooms were way better. Air-conditioned. Roomy. Hotel room only had room for bed and very hot no air con or open windows.
