Goreme is a great base to explore Cappadocia and with the Green tour, you can visit the underground caves and all the major sites and return to Goreme. I also recommend taking a little walk and doing some exploring as sunset peak is nearby.

Green Tour worth it. Red Tour not so much after the green. Balloon rides. Be careful. If you book a ride and it gets cancelled for weather, they WILL NOT re-book you. They will refund you, then all groups DOUBLE their prices for the next day.

Watching the hot air balloons was a magical, unforgettable experience.
"The property was beautiful! There were a bunch of sitting areas throughout the property. It was only a 10 minute walk to the town. It is up a hill, but still not horrible. You do get partial access to seeing the balloons, but even if the wind isn’t in your favor that day, guests have access to the Sultan hotel rooftop, which is next door.
The breakfast is fantastic! And the staff are amazing. They made the experience memorable. You were able to stay in touch with them on WhatsApp, which was also extremely helpful. They helped book excursions and transportation to and from the airport.

"Highly recommend!!! Amazing Hotel! We stayed 2 nights. The hotel receptionist especially Yunos, and other men were so kind and nice. They provided us everything we need, and our Airport shuttle(12 GO company) bus didn’t come on the way back to airport from hotel and refund, but the hotel receptionist man called a taxi immediately and we made it to Kaiser airport on time. Thank you SO much for your all support to us. "
"We honestly had the best experience staying here. The accomodation itself is very comfortable, clean and tidy. The breakfast was very delicious and easy. The terrace on the 4th floor is a really beautiful spot to watch the balloons go up at sunrise.
We arrived quite late due to our bus being delayed, and the team here were so helpful when we got there. We had a late bus leaving around 1700, they had let us stay and use the facilities up until that time as well as holding our luggage while we spent the last day looking around Cappadocia. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and will be recommending to our friends and family to stay here."
