We enjoyed wandering through the winding narrow cobblestone streets of the old city. Some amazing churches, the Musee du Toulouse is a fabulous museum of natural history, and the Aeroscopia museum all about aviation was very well done.

Toulouse has a lot of regional delights that might not be found in, say, Paris; take time to find them. Definitely give yourself time to walk through Victor Hugo Market hungry with time to taste a bit of everything.

Plenty of things to do in Toulouse. Many of the good things were quite well hidden unless you knew where to look, so taking a guidebook or doing research on the internet is a good idea. Plenty of options when it comes to food and drink. Prices ok.

Because of the river, the universities and Airbus, the city is vibrant and fun. It is not necessarily a place for great historic monuments. However, as a cultural center, I would give it four out of five stars.

Lovely city. Lots of dining variety. Only issue is good luck finding dinner early. As with most of France they eat late and nothing open 2-7:30 pm

"The Matabi is ideal for travellers wanting easy access to Gare Matabiau. Bed was very good, and it’s good to get aircon at this price range. It’s good for the price. "
