Small rooms but good enough for us since we only slept in our room. The air conditioning was appreciated as was the free simple breakfast in the morning. Good location near the Vatican

The owner demanded that the city tax would be an extra charge if not paid in cash. When I told him this was illegal (it is- a simple google search will verify this) he exploded and said this was his house and his rules and I was rude for telling him this practice was illegal. We were tired and asked him to just continue with the check in but he went on arguing and berating me for knowing my rights. This practice of charging extra for credit card use is illegal and the owner’s attitude was awful. Other workers were pleasant. The location was fine. Beds were comfortable.
