Nice Traditional Guest House
A local guest house with traditional decor in historical area of Dubai. Comfortable room. WiFi is not stable in room. Helpful staff but they may be busy during breakfast time. Not far from metro and close to the old souk. 24-hr supermarket across the road. Nice place for those who like cultural experience because mini museums, galleries and local cafes are next to the guest house.

Alte Moderne Hotel
Die Aufenthalt war sehr gut, angenehme Mitarbeiter, der Pool war gut und sauber. Der Hotel liegt in der Mitte der alte Stadt und der Elsouq Elkabeer.

We consider it fortunate that we were able to stay at the Orient Guest House. It was such a delight to enjoy the historic atmosphere of the hotel and it's surrounding area. The staff were most helpful and welcoming, the breakfast was very good and the room comfortable and just so charming. Thank you Orient Guest House and staff for making our visit to Dubai a wonderful experience.

Chic, old-Dubai style guest house - highly recomme
I was so glad that I stumbled on this place and spent two nights here. This is a chic, old-Dubai style guest house that is a stone throw's from Dubai Museum and the Textile souk. It is located in the Al Fahidi Historic District. I had no regrets at all booking the place. Hot showers and working air-conditioning, with a very comfortable bed. THe breakfast was buffet styel and more than sufficient. The price - it was a very good deal - well worth the money. To top it off, the staff were excellent and very accomodating to my requests. My friend and I came in at 5am and they accomodated us in the Majlis (a room for us to rest) and even agreed to change my friend's breakfast to the first day. He entertained my many other queries as well and was so very patient - thank you so much Patric! The lady at the reception (Lorena) was also great and very helpful! The hotel has no gym and pool but you can head over to their parent hotel the Arabian Courtyard Hotel where you can use their facilities free of charge. I would not hesitate to stay at the Orient Guest House again if I return to Dubai and I highly recommend this place to anyone who want to explore a different side of Dubai.

Lovely accommodations and friendly owner
Lovely inn in a beautiful old village. The accommodations were much nicer than expected given how rustic the rest of the town was. The owner was very kind and hospitable, serving coffee and dates upon arrival (a true Omani tradition). Dinner and breakfast were delicious and made my the owner's family next door. We even got a tour of the family home and plantation the following morning. Will definitely stay here again next time we go to Oman!

写真の可愛さと価格で予約しましたが、建物自体とその周辺が観光場所になっている様でこんな所に泊まっていいのかととってもラッキーな気分になりました☆ 朝9時を過ぎると観光客が増えますが少し早起きしてその前に散策すると写真も人が映らず綺麗に撮れました。 従業員の方もいい方ばかりでしたし、過剰なサービスはなく、程よく放っておいてくれたのでちょうどよかったです。 soukも歩いて行けるのでold Dubaiを感じたい方は是非☆

L'emplacement est parfait. Rien à redire là-dessus. La chambre était propre et on sent le soin quand au choix des meubles en bois qui donne tout son aspect exotique. Belle salle de bain aussi. Nous aurions apprécié l'indication "sans fenêtre" dans l'offre au vu qu'il n'y avait qu'une toute petite vitre avec barreau qui ne pouvait pas s'ouvrir. Nous aurions aimé un déjeuner avec des aliments frais et faits maison (trop sont industrialisés). Nous avons été réveillé à 3h du matin par le personnel dressant à cette heure là les tables du déjeuner qui donnaient directement sur notre chambre. Assez fâcheux d'autant plus que j'avais vraiment besoin de repos étant tombée malade. Belle attention de la part de la propriétaire de m'amener gratuitement du thé au miel et citron pour calmer ma toux. Beau lieu et pourtant quelques améliorations à apporter pour qu'il soit vraiment à recommander pour une adéquation prix/qualité.

Reis tilbake i tid og slapp av :-)
Artig lite hotel i hjertet av Dubai :-) ligger i gamlebyen. Bare10 rom. Får en følelse av å reise tilbake i tid, fin takterasse og fantastisk restaurant rundt hjørne ta til venstre og venstre og 1 restaurang.

Escape hyper modern Dubai to enjoy its history
Enjoy a unique historic experience in a hyper modern city. Great place to stay, and convenient location. True, many cab drivers do not know the Orient Guest House, but my airport cab driver just had to call to get specific directions. Google Maps also knows where the hotel is and can be helpful for cab drivers. The guest house is located inside the Al Fahidi Historical District, very close the river. While you can see signage for Orient Guest House from the road, you do have to walk about 75 meters to get into the courtyard of the guest house where you check in. When I departed and knew the area, I just walked an easy 10 minutes to the Al Fahidi Metro station and went to the airport for just AED 8. The taxi from the airport cost me AED 65. When you stay here, you'll know you're in the Arab world - this is definitely not an ordinary, modern, personality-free hotel that exists in any city or country. Room was comfortable with old world Arab furniture, the door was a double wood door with a giant pirate chest looking paddle lock. The breakfast was tasty with some Arabic offerings in addition to the usual scrambled eggs. Very friendly staff.
