We are doing the Viking river cruise from Budapest to Bucharest but added the 4-day Prague extension before our cruise. We highly recommend Prague with all the lovely buildings, statues, gates, towers, etc. Prague's St. Charles Bridge is a must see.

Quite hilly area and many cobbled streets in touristic areas so get a real good pair of footwear. When wet, streets slippery. Small and local stores prefer local currency; euro is accepted at many places but better to carry koruna. A walkable city.

Prague is a very beautiful city. There are a lot of places that would be a shame not to visit. Among them are the Zoo, the historic centre with the Prague Castle and the Old Town Clock, boat rentals on the Vltava River, the Petrin Lookout etc.

Must see..the castle area, old town, new town and Charles Bridge. Mediaeval Tavern for good food, beer and fun. Blue Fjord for excellent fish. Goulash is good everywhere and do try the Prague tubes, a pastry cooked on a spit with a gas flame

The architecture in Prague is absolutely gorgeous - everywhere you turn, there's another beautiful building with lovely decorative features. We were there late July, which I don't recommend as the city was extremely crowded with tourists.
"I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was truly an absolute gem. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive—nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Every detail, from the service to the ambiance, exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.
